The act of diligence is very crucial to those who want to actualize divine destiny. But the act of diligence is not only expected in the place of work but also in establishing the kingdom of God on earth and this can be achieved through total commitment to knowing and modelling the truth, but the devil has been conflicting this agenda from the beginning of creation and he's still in the business till date.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
This same doctrine is what was presented to Eve in the garden of Eden. Because of the responsibilities placed on man by God to replicate his kingdom here on earth, there has always been a notice of the schemes and the devices of the devil to stop us from achieving those given Mandate which is our destiny.
Jesus also warned the disciples against this deception in Matthew 16:6 (KJV) Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
As a child of destiny, you have the responsibility to take adequate diligence in knowing the truth, the truth is not just in confessing positive, it is in getting the revelation of God's mind. 1Tim4:12-16.
In recent times, I have seen Christians who are bold, passionate and religious but empty of divine revelations. They live solely on what they hear someone else says, many of them become so arrogant and proud because they have decided to follow the teachings of men not based on Christ. And because they are decided to follow men, they have been given to deceptive spirits. They become so loud with their perverted knowledge and never want to ascertain what the truth is. Jesus wants us to look to him constantly for the truth.
As a child of God, you have the responsibility to know the truth for yourself in the place of personal fellowship with your father. He's not just the God of your pastors, he's your God too, he wants to reveal his mind to you, he wants to flaunt his beauty through your life, to the world. Because the more of him you know, the more like him you become. 2cor3:18.
2 Peter 2:18-19 (KJV) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
It is not every word that sounds good is true, every truth must reflect the person of Jesus Christ. Without exercising diligence in knowing the truth, the devil will be successful in feeding you with lies that sound good just like Eve considered his advice to be good. "2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
It is not just enough listening to a sermon or just reading books, it is very critical we test every word against the written word of God in order to hold on to that which is true always." 1 John 4:1 (KJV) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
When you do this, you are not only saving yourselves but your listeners too. It takes passion to accumulate knowledge but it takes diligence to discern the truth through the help of the holy spirit." 2 Timothy 3:5, 7 (KJV) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Diligence is displayed in the pursuit of the truth. Pursue the truth, understand it and strategize to apply it. This is only the way the word of God becomes beneficial to you. Without these three elements which are, the pursuit of the truth, understanding and strategizing to apply the truth, a Christian life becomes like a tree with very beautiful leaves but without fruits.
You acknowledged your possessions in Christ by confession but it becomes manifested by faith, which is exercised in diligence. You must be eager to live the life God gave you in Christ. But if you do not know what you possess how do claim them, how do live them? Your salvation contains all the packages of God for you in Christ. Study to show yourself approved, don't just sit there and limit your knowledge to what you are told alone, aspire always to know the truth of his words Act17:17.
Get revelations, don't just quote what a pastor says, don't just quote phrases in books, test every spirit, and be diligent in all dealings.
You can't be diligent if your priority is just quoting scriptures until you decide to apply what you learnt in your life, you won't be diligent if your priority is just what brings results because manipulations also give results, you won't be diligent if all you seek is relevance.
You can only be diligent if you prioritize for what is true. Never get tired of doing what is right, for you will be rewarded in due time. Faith is not waiting in expectation, it is doing what is right until there is expected results. Give attention to what is true, be an example of Christians, be simple in spirit but diligent in acts, and live in the destiny God planned for you. God bless you.
