Although there are many distinct types of fellowship, spiritual fellowship is much more than just the sharing of thoughts and ideas. The interaction of spirits is what it is. Only once our outer man has been broken and our spirit has been freed to contact the spirits of others is this form of communion possible. It genuinely a fellowship in the spirit and not an interchange of ideas, and in this sharing of spirit we feel the fellowship of the saints and comprehend what the Scriptures mean by "fellowship in the spirit."
