THE BREAKUP LETTER I WROTE TO LUCIFER

 

Tell the lies to the wild birds,

I am done listening to you,

Drowned in the ocean of deceit,

Your conscience is the vulture's meat.

Vanity runs through your vein,

I can see now, all a facade,

The end you offered is death,

To which you swore commitment.

You appeared in the garment of feigned innocence,

Tearing down the high walls of my heart,

Oh, your unfaithfulness I should have sensed,

When you gave me all but LOVE

Well, there's nothing left,

You came too early,

By now, the angels must have stamped the letters,

In which I wrote all my heart desires

All creation bear me witness,

Between you and I,

There's nothing but a SWORD

Devil, WE'RE DONE!!!

I found true love,

In the way, the truth and life,

Your love was blind and dark,

Now I see the true light in his eyes,

He proved his love in sacrifice,

More than a Romeo,

He conquered death,

I'm his Juliet,

Buried together and resurrected into a new life,

Our love story never ends,

I broke up with hell and am not sorry,

I would rather live for God and be scorned,

Then to live for the world and burn,

While I danced, the devil sat behind the drums,

Now am DONE!!!

Totally surrendered to God,

There's nothing left of me,

No one can take my life,

I don't even have one,

It's been bought,

Through Christ's blood,

No longer a slave but a son,

Jesus WON!!!

I'm not ashamed of Christ,

Call me a Jesus freak,

That's fine,

He set me free,

Liberated me from sin,

And gave me true life,

Give me the mic,

Yes, I will proclaim his name,

To all the nations "JESUS SAVES"
